ANDREA STARTUP M.Ost

Osteopath

My interest in health, well-being, and the body’s innate ability to heal began early in life, and has shaped every step of my professional journey.

I first trained in dentistry, qualifying as a dental nurse in 2013, and worked in a variety of clinical roles. I particularly valued working closely with dental technicians — where precision, aesthetics, and creativity were all essential. Alongside dentistry, I developed a deep interest in complementary therapies.

In 2002 I completed a Diploma in Holistic Therapies and went on to work part-time as a Massage Therapist and Reflexologist, later adding Thought Field Therapy (tapping) to my approach.

I began studying a Master's Degree in Osteopathy at the European School of Osteopathy in 2018. During this period, I also qualified in Sports Massage Therapy (2019) and Dry Needling (2023).

Today, I practise a patient-centred, holistic model of care. I work collaboratively, draw on multiple modalities, and tailor each treatment to the individual in front of me. My focus is on supporting the body’s inherent capacity to reorganise, repair, and heal — grounded in integrity, empathy, and a belief in integrated health.

Personal Bio

Outside of my clinical work, family life is a central joy. I am a mother and grandmother, and I cherish time spent with those I love. I share my home with my husband, our cockapoo, Ollie, and our short-haired exotic cat, Stan — both of whom bring daily humour and companionship.

My interests are varied and creative. I enjoy playing the piano and the ukulele, writing parody songs, and exploring hands-on creative projects. I also spend as much time as I can walking and appreciating nature — which continues to nourish my

well-being and inspires my holistic approach to health.
